Sergeant Walter "Bubba" Moore has been with the Mt. Shasta Police Department for just about 7 years after attending the College of the Redwoods Police Academy - 118th Class. He was born and raised in Mount Shasta. He feels that growing up here was the best and has never thought about leaving our little piece of small-town America.
As an officer with MSPD he has worn many hats and continues to do so. Most notably, he is K9 Artie's handler. He loves dogs and was excited at the opportunity to start the K9 program with our favorite four-legged officer, eventually seeing the expansion of our program to add K9 Rocco. He is also a Sergeant, Firearms Instructor/Armorer, Background Investigator, IA Investigator, CIT Team Member, and has many other miscellaneous assignments as is common for small town cops.
