Officer John Casanova has been with the Mount Shasta Police Department since March 2022 after attending the College of the Siskiyou’s Law Enforcement Academy - Class 007. He was born and raised in Connecticut but has lived in multiple cities and states.
As an officer with the Mt Shasta Police Department, he has had the privilege of serving this community, most notably as a K9 Handler with K9 Rocco. He loves dogs and has a passion for working and training with them. He has been training and handling dogs since 2015. Officer Casanova has been in Law Enforcement since 2014 starting as a Security Forces Member with the United States Air Force. In his free time he enjoys outdoor activities like fishing and hiking and spending time with his family.
