In the event animals are found loose in the City, it is possible that Animal Control has picked them up. We board pets at the Siskiyou Humane Society. You may check with us to see if your pet has been rescued by calling (530) 926-7540 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Following is the City of Mt. Shasta’s fee schedule for impounding and boarding animals:

Additionally, citations, delinquent rabies or City dog licensing fees will be required prior to the release of your pet.
Vaccinations for rabies are required every three years for dogs two years and older.
Please note, any dogs placed in the care of the Siskiyou Humane Society by an officer or citizen are subject to additional fines enumerated in MSMC 1.03.
