The City of Mt. Shasta plays host to a number of special events throughout the year. Special events play a significant role in bringing the community together and supporting the local economy. The City of Mt. Shasta has developed a city wide ordinance to encourage special events while minimizing possible negative impacts.
The City requires all specials that attract a large amount of people file a Special Event Application. The application is required prior to the event taking place and must be submitted a minimum of one month prior to the event. In addition to the the application, events must be properly insured. A sample Insurance Endorsement is provided as an example.
