Committee Mission: The purpose of this committee shall be to coordinate the business assistance activities of the City’s economic development partners, and to advise the City Council of the City of Mt. Shasta on matters related to local and/or regional economic development. It also serves as a forum for the free exchange of information and ideas relating to economic issues. In addition, to meet and communicate with new and existing businesses as Community Ambassadors and act as a “one stop” resource for businesses considering or already doing business in Mt. Shasta.
Committee Dynamics: The seven (7) members of the CEDAC Committee consist of an executive officer from the Mt. Shasta Chamber of Commerce; an executive officer from the Siskiyou County Economic Development Council; an executive officer from Great Northern Corporation; an executive officer of Jefferson Economic Development Institute; an executive officer from the Siskiyou Training & Employment Program, or their designee; a representative of a local financial services business; and one community member at large. There is also one (1) City Staff Advisory Member (City Manager).
Meeting Frequency: Every other month on the second Tuesday of even numbered months, 2:30 p.m.
Meeting Location/Time: Conference Room located above the Police Station at 303 N. Mt. Shasta Boulevard in Mt. Shasta, 2:30 p.m.
Agenda Information: The Community Economic Development Activities Committee Regular Meeting Agenda is posted 72 hours prior to a scheduled meeting and the Agendas can be viewed in the display case outside the City Hall front door, at the meeting, and on the City’s website. Committee Agendas and Minutes can be viewed on the City’s website and are also available upon request at Mt. Shasta City Hall located at 305 N. Mt. Shasta Boulevard.
