October 7, 2019 – Detours will be in place for the next 4 weeks at the intersection of Alma and N. Mt. Shasta Boulevard, as part of a separate Signal Replacement Project. This work will require daytime traffic control and detours around this intersection. Traffic control will be removed at the end of each day and the intersection will continue to be a 4 way stop.
Sewer line replacement work will continue east on McCloud Avenue starting at Mt. Shasta Boulevard for the next several weeks. Night work will cease on Wednesday October 9th, and the schedule will revert back to daytime operations. McCloud Avenue will consistently experience road closures and detours for the next several weeks.
September 30, 2019 – To minimize the impact to traffic, the Contractor will be working at night to install the sewer main across two intersections of Mt. Shasta Boulevard: at Alma Street and at McCloud Avenue. There will be lane closures and detours during this work.
September 16, 2019 – The detour and road closure on Alma Street will be in place for the next couple of weeks while the Contractor wraps up the underground boring operations and finishes the installation of the sewer main up to and across N. Mt. Shasta Boulevard. Work is also beginning at the bottom of McCloud Avenue. Detours and road closures should be expected at the S. Mt. Shasta Boulevard, Alpine Street, and McCloud Avenue area.
August 19, 2019 – Work continues at Alma and N. Mt. Shasta Boulevard requiring continued daytime traffic control, detours, and lane closures. Please keep this in mind as School begins this week. Crews are also beginning work on McCloud Avenue, starting at Mt. Shasta Boulevard and working towards Jefferson Avenue, requiring lane closures and detours during daytime hours.
July 31, 2019 – Between the hours of 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Alma Street between Pine and N. Mt. Shasta Boulevard will remain closed to through traffic, with a lane open for eastbound traffic to Mt. Shasta Boulevard. Please follow the detour in place during this time. This daytime traffic control pattern will be in place for the next couple of weeks. Alma Street will be open with no traffic control during the nighttime period.
July 8, 2019 – Contractor will begin excavation of streets at East Jessie and Cedar. Traffic control will be in place between the hours of 8:00 am and 6:00 pm.
