Welcome to the City of Mt. Shasta Cannabis page. The City on October 23, 2017 approved regulations for the Cannabis industry in the City Limits. The approved regulations are separated into three parts: zoning, retail licenses, and industry licenses.
The Zoning regulations indicate where cannabis type uses can operate in the City Limits. The restricted areas map indicated where sensitive land uses exist with the state mandated 600 foot buffers. Buffers are measured from property line to property line.
The City of Mt. Shasta allows residents in specific areas to grow personal gardens on their property. Please check the above zoning regulations for allowed areas. A personal garden is no more than six plants grown at a time for personal use. Residents who wish to grow their personal gardens are required to acquire a Personal Garden Tag.
The City of Mt. Shasta allows for three retail establishments. The retail licenses and standards outline permitting, operational standards, and license requirements.
**At this time, all of the retail licenses are taken. Please refer to this webpage for changes.
Cannabis Retail License holders may register with the City of Mt. Shasta to delivery medical cannabis and medical cannabis products in City Limits. The driver registration fee and form are due annually to the City.
The City of Mt. Shasta has introduced cannabis industry licensing and standards. The types of industry regulated in this ordinance are cultivation, manufacturing, nursery, testing, distribution, and transportation.
The City of Mt. Shasta will be accepting applications April 4 through April 18. The City will not be accepting retail, nonvolatile product manufacturing, and cultivation applications due to no available licenses.
**All local Live-Scan required documentation is temporarily suspended until further notice.
